Hope you all had a wonderful July 4th! We had too much going on for me to get a little farm story written last week, so we’ll just get right to the heart of the matter. Food! Here’s what we’ll have at the Jollyville Road stand this Wednesday:

Lots of melons! We’ll have the last icebox watermelons for the summer and various cantaloupe-type melons (depending on how much it rains, this might be the end of all the melons this year, so come get ’em while you can!); as many tomatoes and cherry tomatoes as we can salvage (the tiny bit of rain that fell on the farm last evening was just enough to ruin a good deal of our latest tomatoes, boohoo); okra; lots of sweet Corno di Toro peppers; red and yellow bell peppers; Cubanelle “frying” peppers; Chinese long beans; zucchini, Zephyr and yellow squash; three varieties of eggplant; some arugula; sweet Yellow Granex onions; and butternut squash, acorn squash and spaghetti squash from Sand Creek Farm.
