As I’m sure everyone is aware, so far our fall weather has been anything but fall-like! Yet it’s time to open the farm stands and by golly, we’re going to do it. Because no rain has fallen on our little farm in a long, long (long) time, we aren’t starting out like gangbusters…but we’ll bring what we can. Consequently, I think our hours will probably be only from 10 a.m. until maybe noon, or noon-thirty, or 1:00 this Wednesday, depending on how long everything lasts. We’ll keep hoping for a change in the weather, for water from the sky. In the meantime, here’s what we’ll reopen the stands with:
Lots of beautiful chard; bunches and bulk Asian mustard greens; three varieties of eggplant; four varieties of summer squash (yellow, zucchini, Zephyr and Cousa); bags of arugula; Asian cucumbers; some bell peppers; spaghetti squash; and some Kabocha squash.
Hope to see you!

Finally there is a breath of fresh air out there. So glad that you all will be back. I miss seeing you and John just as much as I miss my veggies!!!

I’ve thought about you while we’ve been closed! I don’t know if we’re opening the Jonestown stand this week — this darn weather might prevent that from happening for a little while, since it’s such a struggle right now to harvest enough for both markets — but if you can make it on a Wednesday we’d love to see you!
